Principal – Tim Rose
Tim is the Principal Solicitor of the firm. He qualified as a Solicitor in 1981 and joined Gellhorns in 1991, taking over as Sole Principal in 1993. Tim specialises in a number of areas of law but in the main deals with Residential and Commercial Conveyancing.
In his spare time Tim is most often seen climbing or snowboarding down the world’s most notorious mountains. With those steep cliffs, deep crevasses and limited oxygen as you get closer to the pinnacle, what’s not to like!
Practice Manager – Jane Murphy
Jane is the Practice Manager of the firm. She joined Gellhorns, Guildford office in 1981 and moved to the Bordon office in 1983. Jane is a member of the Institute of Chartered Legal Executives and the Institute of Legal Finance and Management. She has extensive experience and knowledge of all aspects of Residential Conveyancing, Family Law, Wills, Probate and Lasting Powers of Attorney.
Jane has travelled extensively all around the world but enjoys nothing more than spending time with her family, good food and wine.
Residential Conveyancer – James Murphy
James is our residential conveyancer. He joined the practice in 2005 and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Legal Executives. James has extensive knowledge of residential conveyancing.
James has a budding young family and much, if not all, of his spare time is spent with his two children but he does enjoy his football and in particular “his team” Manchester United.
Solicitor – Emily BunchEmily joined Gellhorns in the spring of 2014. Qualifying with a first class LLB in Law and after successfully completing the Legal Practice Course, Emily began her journey as a Trainee Solicitor, qualifying in December 2016. In her spare time Emily enjoys to cook, read, travel and walk the family dogs.
Trainee Paralegal – Rhianna Lawrence
Rhianna joined the practice in 2019 as an office assistant. She has since begun her training to become a Paralegal and is registered with the National Association of Licensed Paralegals
When she is not studying, Rhianna enjoys spending time with her family and all things Disney.
All about the firm
Established in 1982, Gellhorns was first opened in the Forest Centre, Bordon as a satellite office with the main office based in Guildford. Jane Murphy moved to the Bordon Office in November 1983. Tim Rose joined the firm as a Solicitor in 1991 and became the Principal in 1993.
Jane Murphy and Tim Rose have successfully run the Practice ever since and in 2005 James Murphy, also joined the firm and oversaw the relocation of our offices to 12 Chalet Hill, Bordon, Hampshire GU35 0TQ in December 2009, where they have been operating from ever since. Emily Bunch then joined the Practice in 2014 and completed her training contract with Gellhorns, qualifying as a Solicitor in 2016.
